The first business advice- dream.

  WHOM THE ADVICE APPLIES TO

You want to pursue business. Infact you have chosen it to be a career you would pursue. All careers have laws that governs them. They also have steps. You may wonder the first step that you should take to achieve your dream. If you have this ambition, and desire to learn this step, then you would need to receive one of the golden advice that people who want to pursue business needs. When you learn and apply this business-advice, you would find out that you are half-way your path to achieving success in business.

THE FIRST BUSINESS ADVICE- DREAM 

All the business that we know began as a dream. A man would conceive a dream to start a business and then start one. All of those who own businesses were driven by their dreams to aim at owning one. Until they conceived the dream to they never made it something that they want to achieve. You would never find it written in their jotters, in the place where they write goals they want to achieve. But once they conceive it, it becomes something they want to achieve. They would start telling their friends they want to own business. They would include it in the list of their goals. They would start making enquiry on how to achieve their goal. 

                    ILLUSTRATION 

A man never concerned himself with owning a certain product- Mobile phone. It was not a dream he wanted to achieve, like his numerous other goals. While he worked towards achieving other goals he had, he never wanted to own a mobile phone and could not have made it his goal. 

But that changed later. The man developed the desire to own a mobile phone, at a point in his life. Now that the desire to own a mobile phone was conceived in his mind, he wanted to own one. He included the securement of the ownership in his goal. That made him to start to enquire how he would achieve his goal.

What is the point? His dream to own a mobile phone was the drive behind his desire to pursue ownership of phone. Until he conceived the dream he never wanted to. His case illustrates that until a man objectifies something, he may not want to pursue it. 

                              EXAMPLE 

Orji Uzor Kalu is the founder of the SLOK Holding; a West African conglomerate with involvements in shipping, oil trading, media, manufacturing and  banking. He is a well known, Nigerian business man, and needs no introduction. 

Before he got to the age of 20, Orji was schooling in a Nigerian university. This was indeed a path towards the achievement of his dream. For he aspired to become a successful graduate. Infact some have even alleged that his father was very desiring that he acquire considerable western education. While at school he took active participation in academic affairs. He was so active that he continued to excel; he never had any academic inadequacy. Orji was not only involved in academic affairs. He also participated along with certain others in a protest in school. The result was that all of them was expelled from school. Though the attempt was made, they never generally secured pardon.

The inability to secure it made Orji to quit school. Then he began to seek what else to pursue. He contemplated business, when he discovered that there were business opportunities in the state he was, that was yet to be exploited. It was the trading of palm oil. He secured money from his mother and used it to start the trade. He succeeded and is today one of the most successful and richest Nigerians

What is the point from his story? Orji aspired to pursue business only when that interest had been triggered in him. Had he not conceived that dream, he would not have taken the step to pursue that particular business. Once he conceived it, he became determined to pursue it.  

The first step towards every pursuit is dreaming, as human experience have taught us. If you have as a dream the pursuit of an endeavour, it would drive you to aim at succeeding and to exert efforts. Without determination to pursue business you would never aim at doing so.  Therefore, if business is your goal; if business interests you; if you want to pursue business, you first of all have to make it your goal. By doing so, you would be driven by your desire to want to pursue business. 

All men are driven by their desire to fulfill their goals, to take the steps to fulfil it. If you are not determined to pursue business, how could you even do so?

                        EXAMPLE 2. 

We all know the story of Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook. The truth is that Mark, Zuckerberg at a point, did not dream of creating Facebook. During the period that he had not, he never was stirred to want to create Facebook. It was not his goal after all. But once he conceived the dream to do so, it motivated him to include it in his list of goals, and to work towards it. 

Everyone including you, is like Mark Zuckerberg and the numerous others that developed the Ambition to pursue business.

If business is not your goal you would never work towards pursuing it. The person that has not conceived the dream to pursue business would not want to pursue it, and would not be passionate about it. 

Desire for something gives birth to passion for it and  it's attainment.

Business involves challenges. How could one be passionate about the pursuit of something that has challenges if he has not that ambition? You can never be passionate about something that you do not want to pursue. 

Void of passion for a pursuit, you are not in good position to pursue it. Passion is that which would motivate you to give your best to the pursuit. You can never channel your resources such as time and money into a business if you are not passionate about it. 

You would realize that sometimes when the opportunity to start a business is availed on a platter of Gold. Some try to utilize this opportunity. A prove that they want to start business. Yet there are some that never utilizes it, no matter how much you tell them. A prove that it is not something that they want to achieve. If it is, they would pursue it, when it is easier to achieve it. Even when the government make it very very easy for people to start business, by reducing; tax and start-up fees to the lowest amount possible, or offering they never grab the opportunity. If you try to convince such ones to grab opportunities to start pursue business, you would be like a man that tries to persuade someone that does not desire to marry, to marry. The person does not want to marry I'm the first place, how then could you convince him to?

Therefore, be sure that you are determined to pursue business before you ever begin to pursue it, otherwise you would be like a man that is pursuing something he does not want to; you would do so reluctantly without energy, void of passion, unambitious, which would make you never to achieve success in that field.

If you are determined; if you dream of pursuing business then you would surely would want to work towards the pursuit, zealously with much energy and passion which puts you in position for excellence, on your chosen field.
