The types of business capital

               1. AUTHORIZED, REGISTERED  OR NOMINAL CAPITAL
As the name indicates it can be called either authorized or registered or nominal capital.
This type of capital is the type that's indicated in the form of writing in a memorandum of association and usually approved by the registrar of companies which a company can issue out for subscription. It is in summary the total amount of capital which a production firm is allowed or granted access to issue or reveal to the public. It limits the amount that can be issued out as shares.

              2. ISSUED CAPITAL
It is still pertaining to nominal capital, but only a part of it, that the company wants to issue out to the public for subscription. Call it, half of nominal capital, you aren't wrong. The total shares which the firm offers to the public, out of the nominal capital, at a certain business period is what is issued capital.

           3. CALLED UP CAPITAL
This is part of the issued capital that has actually been called up, and shareholders of the business asked to make payments. Partly, it is of the issued capital, which is required that shareholders pay for.

             4. PAID UP CAPITAL
This kind is one that shareholders have paid for. It is the total amount paid up or credited as paid up on the issued share capital.

            5. UNCALLED CAPITAL
Sometimes due to one thing or the other there would be some amount that has not been called up for. The total amount that has not been called up for on the issued capital, as the name implies, is what we refer to as uncalled capital. It is part of the issued capital yet to be demanded for, for payment.

           6. CAPITAL EMPLOYED
Companies and businesses have properties or assets. When you combine all those assets together both fixed and current you would realize this kind of capital. All the money used in 'Charioting' a  business, is what is this kind of capital capital. It is the total properties of a business.

              7. CAPITAL OWNED
If you are a business man you would surely realize interest in your business. You can call that interest your owned capital. It is truly what it is. It is your net worth.

                8. FIXED CAPITAL
It is the capital a business has, that they use to produce things. It might not be intended to be consumed immediately but rather serves as a means of production. It consists of; plants, buildings, fittings, furniture etc. What distinguishes them is that they do not change form when they undergo production.

                  9. LOAN CAPITAL
A business due to one reason or the other could borrow. Whatever they borrow is called loan capital. Not just part of it, but all they got from loan, is collectively called loan capital.

               10. LIQUID CAPITAL
Any assets that can be metamorphosed into money at short notice.

11. WORKING OR CIRCULATING CAPITAL
It includes capital used for payment of wages, salaries and raw materials. It consists of the money used for the day to day running of the business. That is to say, whatever expenditure the business has to make daily, they source it from this kind of capital.
