Basic Requirements for starting photography business

You would need a Camera. With it, you would snap the photos of your customers. With it, you would make videos of your patronizers. When photo making is desired, the need for Camera is inevitable. The truth is, all photos that you see or know, were created with Cameras. You cannot create one through any means without the use of Cameras. So, Cameras are your number one tool for this business. 

Do yourself a favour of searching for photographers online. You would see pictures of tons of photographers. And they are not always without there Cameras. Either you would see it hanging on their neck or they, holding it in their hands. They are always associated with it. 

Knowing that Cameras are neccesities makes the purchase of them by you necessary. There are different kinds of Cameras. You very well would need to learn this. Some are very big. Some are very small. Some are expensive. Some are cheap. I have seen photographers with virtually every kind. Which means that you could snap photos and make videos with virtually every kind. 

But there is the best advise when it comes to Cameras. Obviously, all Cameras are not equal in proficiency. That explains why, when you pick up some photos you fall in love with the standard of the photos. You would find them to be of good quality. But when you find others, you may consider them less. Some Cameras are superior in quality, which would mean that the photos they can create would be of good standard. And weather or not you have been into photography or not, you can tell that every customer would want a photo that is of good quality. When they find your pictures appealing, they are more likely to come back to you. That is in fact the confession of a photographer. I have had time to interact and meet with them on this subject. Photos are important to people. Photos are to people as paintings are. When they find a paint priceless, they love it, they keep it in their collections, and once in a while admire it. They want to see it again and again. And the painter becomes their favorite. Likewise is the photography business. A key to customer retention is production of good photos. This is achievable with the use of good cameras only. There are many Cameras brands. You may need to consult a photographer or carry out a research to discover the best to buy. You would need to buy the one that would align with your needs. 

                          2 STUDIO 

You would need a studio. Weather you like it or not. Before you chose to become a photographer, you might not like studios. You might not have visited them. You might not know what they look like. You might have had preference for your favorite bar where you drink your favorite wine or beer. But, let me tell you, sir, you would surely want to visit a studio to know what it looks like. Studios are of kinds. I am talking about a photo studio here. Develop interest in visiting them. When you do, you would get to know what they are like. 

The studio is the photographers office. You would agree that photographs are produced at studios after your visit. Or you might have learnt that from experience. That is why they are called photo-studios. They are meant for production of photos. Designed with the capacity for production of photos, by equipping them with all that is required to bring into existence photographs. When there is an event, the photographer is invited to make photos. He goes with his Camera. There, He snaps. After snapping, he goes to his studio to produce. So when you visit a studio, you would gain an insight as to the capital you would need to bring into existence a studio. 

As it is with Cameras, so is it with studios. Some are small, some are large and others bigger. No matter the location or size of a studio, there are some equipments that are basic or intrinsic devices of a studio that you cannot do without. By equipping them with it, you make your studio capable of production of photos. 

                       3 LICENSE 

Photography is morally justifiable. No sort of harm affects the person that is being snapped by a photographer. This is especially so, since the person usually consents before he is snapped. 

However there is something called registration. Government requires of you to register with them, and obtain permission before you begin your photography business. This is essential to them in many ways. It let's them know the number of photographers operating in their country. It also helps to give you a tax identify. Register with them and obtain permit. It would establish your business as one that is legal. 

You would need to get the license through no other source but the government. When you do, you are at liberty to operate in any country you registered with. 

                          TRAINING 

You don't know how to persuade your customers yet, to contract you. But the experienced photographer does. Why don't you make it a point of duty to learn this from him? Then when you finally get your permit, you would be in position to influence people into being your customer. 

But what if you have done some other kinds of business that equips you with the ability to persuade customers to patronize you? It could aid you but you are not yet qualified to be a photographer. Suppose you gain a photo contract, how would you operate the Camera since you have not used one? How could you use it to snap? It is a device you have not operated. It may seem that the first step is even learning how to operate the equipments you would use in snapping, which Camera is basically one of. Learn how to use it. All the equipment have different ways of handling them. If you don't know how to use them, you can't. 

An experienced photographer is one of the best options to go to to draw the skill. But there are schools meant for photo lessons, you can attend. Just do a research on one around you. There are books also on this subject that could equip you.

But do not fear very much. Training isn't very hard. Because photography is very easy to learn. It is not a complex thing. If you know how to snap photos with your phone, it would be easier to learn how to snap with a Camera. And even other equipments you would use are not too difficult to operate. 

You could learn how to snap within few weeks. Then begin snapping. You would become better the more you snap.
